Christmas arrived at the malls a month ago and Christmas trees just keep popping up everywhere. Decorations all over the place and an abundance of fairy lights. Orchard Road is fully decked out. Our Christmas tree looks somewhat pathetic considering there are so many Christmas trees that are several storeys high but we love it for its simplicity! (ie. its ability to pack down small during the 11 months of the year its not in use.)
On the weekend we formed the cheer squad for our friends Jackie and Dave as they competed in the half-marathon. It was a big effort. We had to get up at 6.30am on a Sunday! and I believe J and D found it quite sweaty and exhausting work too.
Alice and Matt saw the Walking with the Dinosaurs show at the Indoor Stadium and they loved it. On Sunday we all went with a group of friends to see the pantomime of Cinderel-lah! - The Singapore version of the show. Oh so funny - inappropriate in parts - but that's Singapore humour. They seem a lot less politically correct and so not easily offended (eg. it's ok in Singapore to go up to your friend who has put on one kg and say "You so fat Lah" as you pinch the invisible flab on their arms).
Well must go now and get ready for another show.

Looking forward to seeing you at Beechworth - no parties, plays etc. You just might struggle with an unplanned and quiet few days!
