The Trivia Night was great fun and we raised over $10,000 for the school.
Took our very cultured dog and kids to a classical music concert in the Botanic gardens. And when the orchestra started playing the can-can Buckley even danced (with a little help from friends).
Last weekend we had tickets to the Youth Olympic Games. We saw the Trampolining on Friday night and the Athletics on Sunday. Trampolining was a success but Athletics, although great to watch, was just way too uncomfortable. The skies were clear, the sun hot and we were sitting in a pool of sweat. The kids were actually under the seats trying to find some shade. We gave up after an hour or so and then spent the rest of the day at the pool.
For Book Week on Thursday the kids dressed up to go school. Felicity as Wendy from Peter Pan and Alice as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
So nice to see that Book Week celebrations cross the globe. Good choices for characters girls! Geoff and I have had a cultural Saturday with the Rupert Bunny exhibition this morning ans the Zoo and Pandas this afternoon. Love T&G
ReplyDeleteSo much for an experienced staff. We had a very good 2 weeks at Mockinya (30km S of Horsham). We visited all our relatives in the area. The Bertrams at Pomonal, John & Nancy at Minyip and Auntie Eileen at Casterton.
ReplyDeletelove Jim and Christine
Had heard the Adelaide zoo got pandas. Pretty exciting! The new zoo "River Safari" which opens early in 2012 will have pandas but I believe they are only on lend for a few years.
ReplyDeletePretty good random moments. I hope work goes well. I have finally settled to it being normal to work each day. Only 7 weeks in!
ReplyDeleteI'll facebook a photo of Jack as Willy Wonka at our book parade.
