Busy Busy

We haven't blogged in a while because I've been a bit busy. I've started working full time for a few weeks at the Australia High Commission assisting with the pre-polling. Coffee with friends and yoga session have been sadly neglected but work has been fun. I'm also helping to run the School Trivia Night which is on tonight so there has been very little free time.

Last Monday was Singapore National Day so we all had the day off. We went to Pulau Ubin with the Murrays, a family we met at Church recently. Matt knew the Dad Nick from when they worked together at Accenture back in Melbourne. We cycled along a different path than we had before and spotted an otter in the water which was as fascinated with us as we were with it. We arrived at the other side of Pulau Ubin where we could clearly see Malaysia. This side of the island is protected by a large fence to either keep Singaporeans in or Malaysians out - we suspect the latter. In the evening we went to our friend Fiona's place for a BBQ and a good view of the fireworks from her condo's rooftop garden.

And I've also included a photo from the previous weekend when we had a Sibu Island Kids Club
reunion at the Singapore Zoo with the Kids Club co-ordinator Aliana. She says hi to Otto and Zoe and wishes you could have been there.

  1. About time - I thought the Blog was being edited by ASIO and had been closed, so it is good to hear you are still alive.
We are at Mockinya looking after Greg's farm and his assorted animals. We are expecting the birth of a couple of lambs before we leave - very windy, drizzly and cold so we are getting the winter farm experience.
